The company is Series B funded and led by veterans from transformative technology companies. This senior Technical Project Manager role sits within the Silicon Operations team and owns end-to-end execution of complex process development and manufacturing readiness programs. You will drive critical milestones across photonics, advanced packaging, optical module assembly, and external manufacturing partners—from development and design-of-experiments (DOE) through qualification, pilot build, and high-volume manufacturing (HVM) release. Key responsibilities include: - Partnering with internal engineering, OSAT partners, quality, and operations teams to ensure effective process FMEA, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and controllability - Managing overall schedules for process development, DOE, qualification, pilot runs, and HVM release - Working with process engineers on specific requirements, delivery, and performance metrics - Collaborating with OSAT QA to ensure sites and processes meet quality and reliability standards, including line audits, process control, change control, and material review boards (MRB) You will be hands-on, highly technical, and comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment. Success requires strong program ownership, cross-functional alignment, and data-driven decision-making. Required qualifications: - Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronics, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline - 8+ years of hands-on process engineering in semiconductor packaging, optoelectronics, optical transceiver/module assembly, microelectronics, SMT, or precision automation—preferably in high-volume manufacturing - Strong technical depth in core assembly processes: die attach, wire bond, active optical alignment, optical module assembly, dispensing, curing, bonding, or line integration - Proven ownership of process development from concept through qualification, pilot, production release, and sustained HVM ramp - Solid understanding of process FMEA, DFM/DFx, control plans, change control, MRB, audits, and quality/reliability requirements - Strong knowledge of DOE, SPC, Cpk, yield analysis, defect Pareto, root-cause failure analysis, and structured problem-solving (8D, DMAIC) - Experience defining process windows, equipment requirements, recipes, SOPs, work instructions, qualification plans, and production control strategies - Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams: process engineering, product/design, manufacturing, quality, equipment engineering, suppliers, and external partners - Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical discussions, drive stakeholder alignment, and make data-driven decisions under schedule and ramp-up pressure - Detail-oriented, hands-on, comfortable in fast-paced startup/scale-up environments - Excellent communication skills for presenting technical findings, risks, trade-offs, and recommendations to engineering and leadership
