Coder, a Series B AI infrastructure platform, is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to lead complex, high-stakes engineering programs. You will operate with significant autonomy, setting execution standards across the organization and serving as a trusted strategic partner to senior engineering and product leadership.
In this role, you'll own engineering programs end-to-end—from definition through delivery and iteration—across multiple teams that don't report to one another. You'll manage scope, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and risk, driving trade-offs to written decisions and maintaining accountability for delivery. Working hands-on with engineers and product managers, you'll be close enough to influence architectural and interface decisions while serving as the central coordination point across engineering, product, design, security, and go-to-market functions.
You'll run the operating cadence, delivering crisp updates on program health, risks, and trade-offs to technical, executive, and customer stakeholders. A key part of the role involves improving engineering productivity through better tooling and lightweight processes, including AI-native tooling and Coder's own product.
You bring 7+ years of technical program management experience, including complex multi-team programs where no single team owned the entire outcome. You have deep technical intuition—able to read design docs, expose unstated assumptions, and debate sequencing with staff engineers. Your track record includes delivering at scale with ownership of external commitments such as GA launches or regulated enterprise deadlines.
You demonstrate strong organizational influence, setting agendas with minimal oversight and moving teams that don't report to you without being slowed by ambiguity or competing priorities. Your verbal and written communication skills are excellent, equally effective with technical and executive audiences. You bring judgment to apply just enough process to move fast without losing rigor, and the discipline to remove what isn't working.
