ARX Robotics, a European defense tech company specializing in autonomous unmanned systems and sensors, is seeking a Technical Programme Manager to lead complex programme infrastructure across geographically distributed engineering teams in the UK, Germany, and Ukraine.
You will own the design and implementation of programme processes spanning engineering, product, and mission operations teams. Key responsibilities include establishing a Jira-based operating model with standardized workflows and definitions of done; managing integrated schedules, dependencies, risks, and critical paths across hardware, software, and integration workstreams; owning deliverable gates and readiness criteria for milestones, releases, and deployments with evidence-based sign-off; and driving planning, tracking, and execution of exercises and demonstrations with feedback capture and post-event closeout.
You will translate ambiguous operational and engineering inputs into structured, testable requirements with clear acceptance criteria and traceability. You will govern feedback and change processes between local integration activities and centrally prioritized product development, ensuring field reality reaches the central product organization in Germany in actionable form, and that commitments back to the field are realistic, visible, and delivered.
Required experience includes leading complex technical programmes in defense, robotics, autonomy, automotive, or similarly regulated environments; demonstrated ability to build and implement programme and engineering processes from scratch; strong track record delivering mission-critical systems in high-pressure operational environments with full ownership of scope, schedule, and execution; and skilled stakeholder and engineering management with ability to enforce quality standards and drive evidence-based decision-making.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field is desirable; technical background is desirable but curiosity and ability to ask the right questions when engaging with senior engineers is essential. Willingness to travel within the EU (especially Germany) is required. Excellent English is mandatory; German is a plus. UK work eligibility is required.
