Graphcore is seeking a Technical Programme Manager to own and lead the company's global lab and data center infrastructure programs from Bristol. You will serve as the client-side owner's representative across the full lifecycle of infrastructure projects: from requirements gathering and site selection through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational readiness.
Your core responsibilities include:
- Leading global lab and data center infrastructure programs, managing builds, expansions, upgrades and retrofits
- Translating complex engineering requirements into clear infrastructure priorities and delivery plans
- Owning schedules, budgets, dependencies and risks across multiple locations
- Ensuring power, cooling, networking and high-density compute environments meet engineering needs for AI workloads
- Maintaining day-to-day effectiveness of engineering labs, enabling system bring-up, testing and rapid experimentation
- Establishing consistent infrastructure standards across Graphcore locations while responding to site-specific engineering needs
- Collaborating across Systems Engineering, hardware engineering, IT, facilities, EHS and finance teams
- Working with specialist external vendors to deliver mission-critical infrastructure
Required experience includes:
- Strong technical program or project delivery capability in data centers, engineering labs or mission-critical environments
- Proven experience as an owner's representative or client-side project manager for complex infrastructure projects
- Deep understanding of data center power, HVAC, liquid cooling, CDU systems and building infrastructure
- Track record delivering hyperscale or high-performance computing infrastructure through design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications, translating them into actionable plans
- Strong schedule, cost and risk management skills with excellent stakeholder communication abilities
