Basecamp Research is seeking a Technical Program Manager, Science to join its Boston team within the Chief Scientific Officer's organization. The company is a frontier AI biotech firm that builds AI models for protein design and biological systems using BaseData, the world's largest ethically-sourced biological dataset. With Series B funding closed in October 2024 and pre-Series C investment from NVIDIA finalized in January 2026, Basecamp operates hubs in London and Boston, partnering with 152+ organizations across 28 countries. In this role, you will serve as the connective tissue between the Innovation Science, Genetics, and Genotoxicity teams, driving internal operational efficiency and coordinating cross-functional initiatives. You'll report directly to the CSO with dotted-line alignment to the London-based CTO Program Management office, ensuring scientific milestones synchronize with foundation model release cycles. Key responsibilities include: coordinating cross-functional projects across data, science, and biology teams (especially for post-training and fine-tuning data generation); identifying and implementing process improvements to eliminate bottlenecks; managing external technical and scientific partnerships with research collaborators, universities, and technology vendors; overseeing selection and optimization of software tools and platforms (project management systems, knowledge bases, data pipeline tools); supporting operational strategy and resource allocation with the CSO and team leads; partnering with regulatory and pre-clinical stakeholders to ensure compliance and study-readiness; and promoting knowledge sharing and documentation across teams. You'll need 5+ years of technical operations, program management, or similar experience in tech-focused or biotech organizations, with a proven track record coordinating complex projects and improving operational processes. Exceptional organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines, and excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are essential. This is a hands-on operator role in a fast-paced startup environment where you'll make significant impact on how a cutting-edge biotech company scales operations.
