As a Technical Program Manager for the Mission Autonomy Business Line, you will manage new technology development initiatives spanning both Internal Research and Development (IRAD) and customer-facing programs. This role requires flexibility to adapt to diverse, evolving situations while working across a variety of software technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving scoping and execution of initiatives that comprise the Mission Autonomy business line
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including software engineers, other program managers, chief engineers, test and evaluation, business operations, and finance
- Supporting execution of functional engineering roadmaps to align with strategic priorities and program needs
- Leading early-phase programs post-capture, including external customer relationship management
You will work with a wide variety of technical stakeholders, communicate plans clearly to all parties, and coordinate across teams to achieve desired outcomes. This is a travel-heavy role with up to 70% travel expected.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field from an accredited institution
- Technical career background
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 70%)
- Deep familiarity with subsystems and robotics systems you have previously worked on
- Demonstrated understanding of technical tradeoffs and risk reduction through key development efforts
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills capable of managing multiple concurrent initiatives
- Proven experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, influencing engineering teams, and interacting with leadership stakeholders
- Outstanding communication abilities, adept at conveying complex plans and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS/SCI clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Direct experience leading product development related to Unmanned Vehicle (UxV) development within robotics sectors
- Knowledge of hardware and software development practices and best practices for autonomous robotics systems
- Startup experience with exposure to diverse responsibilities beyond the job description scope
