Scale's public sector division is seeking a Technical Program Manager to own end-to-end delivery of national security mission areas for homeland layered defense. You will serve as the critical bridge between customer requirements, engineering execution, and senior stakeholders, managing complex technical programs that integrate AI/ML capabilities across secure government networks.
Key responsibilities include: translating operational workflows into detailed Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) and Engineering Requirements Documents (ERDs); working with engineering teams during cycle planning to define scope, architecture, dependencies, and milestones; maintaining requirements traceability from customer objective through software build, test, and formal deliverable; driving Jira/GitLab execution and integrated master schedules; managing data availability and system architecture constraints across high-side networks; identifying and escalating technical blockers and risks; partnering with subcontractors and external teams; and communicating technical progress and tradeoffs to both engineering and senior customer stakeholders.
You will work across mission areas including Indications & Warning, Dynamic Planning, Non-Kinetic Effects Integration, Modeling & Simulation, Sensor Orchestration, Dynamic Agentic IAMD Planning, Adversary Test Data Integration, Track Trajectory Prediction, Object Custody, and Cross-Domain Solutions. The role requires deep technical literacy in software architecture, APIs, data systems, system integration, and AI/ML-enabled products, combined with strong program management fundamentals. You must be comfortable working in secure facilities and air-gapped government systems, with willingness to travel 25–50% for onsite engagements, integration work, user testing, and formal evaluation events.
