Mistral is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to join the Engineering organization and drive delivery of high-impact technical projects. You will plan, execute, and oversee complex programs aligned with strategic goals, requiring a combination of technical expertise, project management excellence, and strong cross-functional leadership. Key responsibilities span multiple critical areas: Functional/Technical Support—collaborate with teams to refine roadmaps, organize delivery, maintain project tracking tools, identify dependencies, and proactively track blockers while working closely with Product Managers to escalate risks. Engineering Operations—drive efficiency by automating processes and championing adoption across Engineering teams to reduce manual effort and enable scalable workflows. Customer Programs—partner directly with key enterprise customers to support deployments and ensure timely delivery of specialized features. Release & Portfolio Management—coordinate model releases with Science Program Managers and product releases with Engineering Program Managers. You will oversee development and deployment processes ensuring efficiency and alignment with product timelines. Work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Science, Marketing, Design, and Solutions. Track project progress, timelines, and resources while assisting teams to implement smoother delivery processes. Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance engineering team efficiency. Regularly communicate with stakeholders on program status, risks, and issues. Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans. Required qualifications: degree in a relevant scientific field (Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, etc.); proven experience managing technical programs within engineering teams; strong understanding of software lifecycle management and deployment processes; excellent project management skills for running multiple complex programs; thriving in cross-functional collaboration with ability to adapt communication to stakeholders; highly organized with expertise in managing cross-team dependencies; proactive problem-solver with continuous improvement mindset; strong design thinking skills and comfort contributing to architecture decisions. Ideal candidates have software development experience, prior work in AI companies/projects, knowledge of how LLMs are built and work, and previous Technical Program Manager experience. The role is based in Paris HQ with expectation of at least 3 days per week in office, with flexibility for remote work based on autonomy and context.
