Zscaler is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join its Technical Program Management team, reporting to the Senior Manager of TPM. This hybrid role (3 days in-office in San Jose) will partner directly with Engineering to establish intake and commitment processes, lead execution and delivery reviews, and drive release readiness across multiple concurrent initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
• Drive end-to-end program delivery by owning planning across multiple concurrent initiatives, managing independent Scrum teams, and aligning scope, owners, timelines, and success metrics across three engineering organizations.
• Build and operate a centralized intake function, partnering with stakeholders to triage requests, assign effort levels, and translate demand into rolling roadmaps and execution plans.
• Lead weekly program reviews tracking active initiatives, production incidents, service health, and OKRs—maintaining an integrated status view that surfaces risks and dependency conflicts before they become blockers.
• Orchestrate cross-functional delivery by coordinating release planning and production readiness across capacity expansions, provisioning, and new service onboarding, keeping infrastructure, SWE, and product stakeholders aligned.
• Elevate process maturity by replacing manual tracking with JIRA-based structures, establishing SDLC standards, and driving delivery predictability across repeatable operations and highly ambiguous ad-hoc programs.
Required qualifications: 3+ years in Engineering or Technical Program Management (minimum 2 years as TPM); foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies; proven bias for action and stakeholder management; proficiency in JIRA including dashboards and Structure; undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
Preferred: 5+ years in Engineering/TPM; hands-on engineering experience with low-level networking (protocols, configuration, routing); deep understanding of networking industry with technical depth to identify risks and translate architectural challenges.
