Aalyria is a leading aerospace technology company specializing in laser communications and temporospatial software-defined networking platforms for satellite and airborne mesh networks, including cislunar and deep-space communications. The company leverages technology acquired from Google to revolutionize the orchestration and management of planetary mesh networks across land, sea, air, and space.
As Technical Program Manager for the Spacetime platform, you will drive end-to-end execution across engineering programs and customer deliverables, serving as the critical bridge between internal engineering teams and high-level customer stakeholders. This is a high-impact role requiring exceptional ability to "get things done through others" without direct authority, leveraging deep understanding of software and engineering to drive delivery.
Key responsibilities include owning program planning and execution for software product integration across mission phases; acting as the primary programmatic interface with customers, communicating effectively with executives and technical stakeholders; running cross-functional operating rhythms (kickoffs, weekly reviews, exec readouts) to keep Product, Engineering, Design, and Solutions Engineering aligned on status, risks, and decisions; translating customer requirements into actionable engineering plans while managing scope evolution; taking full ownership of Time & Materials (T&M) contract reporting, including monthly labor, subcontract, hardware, materials, and travel tracking at the Master Equipment List (MEL) level; and identifying schedule, scope, and dependency risks early, escalating with context and coordinating mitigations with Engineering Leads across development, staging, and production environments.
You do not need to be a software engineer, but must possess sufficient exposure to the software lifecycle to accurately guide technical teams. This role requires comfort with aerospace/defense customer dynamics, contract management, and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, technically sophisticated environment.
