Cohere is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to join its customer-facing Engineering Program Management team. This role sits at the intersection of customer success, product delivery, and enterprise AI operations.
You will be the technical voice of Cohere for strategic customers, managing complex, cross-functional programs that span Applied ML Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering, Platform, Product, and Go-to-Market teams. Your core responsibilities include:
• Communication: Provide clear, timely, and objective updates across technical teams, leadership, and strategic customers, ensuring alignment on priorities and progress.
• Planning & Optimization: Break down complex technical challenges into executable strategies, manage program schedules, identify dependencies, manage risks, and drive organizational alignment across time zones.
• Execution & Delivery: Ensure on-time delivery of enterprise-grade AI solutions, establish checkpoints for status tracking, and identify development needs proactively.
• Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve blockers, coordinate cross-functional dependencies, and balance schedule, quality, and customer impact.
You should have at least 5 years of experience as an Engineering or Technical Program Manager, with a minimum of 2 years in customer-facing technical delivery for enterprise-grade AI software or solutions. Experience with LLM training, optimization, or deployment is a strong differentiator. You are detail-oriented, self-organized, execution-focused, and comfortable holding teams accountable while remaining diplomatic. You thrive in ambiguity, own tracking across multiple workstreams, and excel at capturing technical context in fast-moving environments.
