OpenAI's Hardware organization is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead the software development and systems integration for AI accelerator hardware. This role bridges OpenAI's chip design, systems architecture, and software teams to bring next-generation AI-native silicon and integrated systems to production.
You will manage end-to-end software development for AI acceleration systems, from design through implementation and deployment into OpenAI's supercomputing infrastructure. Key responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional technical teams, managing strategic partnerships with external vendors and partners, planning and scheduling AI system software designs, and ensuring efficient communication and resource allocation across internal and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate has deep experience as a software technical program manager for data center system products (servers, GPUs, TPUs, networking, storage). You should understand the full lifecycle of bringing hardware-software co-designed products from concept through volume production in data center environments, with proven ability to manage complex technical programs at scale. You're passionate about the technical program management function, comfortable owning ambitious goals independently, and excited about working at the frontier of AI compute infrastructure alongside world-class researchers and engineers.
