Netflix's AI for Member Systems (AIMS) organization is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead the Engagement Intelligence team, which builds next-generation AI product experiences for hundreds of millions of members. This role bridges emerging generative AI capabilities with production-scale member experiences, spanning new interaction modalities, discovery surfaces, search, messaging, and evidence systems.
You will drive early-stage, high-ambiguity programs from concept through production, operating across a diverse stakeholder ecosystem: engineering and applied science teams, product and partnerships, and external device and platform partners. Key responsibilities include setting milestones and managing dependencies across multi-team initiatives; bringing structure to 0-to-1 work where architecture and requirements are still being defined; coordinating with external device, platform, and distribution partners on integration timelines and joint delivery; supporting content expansion into new formats and modalities; and weighing technology, cost, and business priorities to guide tradeoff decisions.
You will apply working knowledge of the ML project lifecycle (online and offline) to help teams plan realistic paths from prototype to production. You'll build lightweight program rituals—roadmaps, status updates, risk reviews, launch readiness—that keep fast-moving programs visible and on track. A core strength is turning complexity into clarity through well-written status updates, decision documents, and alignment artifacts that resonate with audiences from engineers to senior leadership.
Required: 8–10+ years in technical program management or equivalent roles, with a track record driving multi-team, ambiguous programs at senior scope. You must build alignment and drive decisions across broad internal and external stakeholder maps without relying on formal authority. You're comfortable in high ambiguity, bringing structure to 0-to-1 efforts. You have sound judgment on technical, business, and cost tradeoffs. You possess working knowledge of the ML project lifecycle and what it takes to move a capability toward production. Excellent written and verbal communication is essential.
Preferred: Experience with generative AI product development, search/discovery/conversational product programs with external partner coordination, content/catalog expansion into new formats, or background at consumer-scale AI-driven companies (streaming, social media, marketplaces, search, voice/conversational).
