Anduril Industries is seeking an experienced Technical Operations Engineer to join the Mission Operations team, supporting the deployment and integration of advanced imaging systems for defense applications. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert on Anduril's imaging product families, working directly with the Department of Defense to ensure customers can fully leverage integrated hardware-software systems.
You will operate at the intersection of hardware, software, and networking, taking ownership of complex technical challenges in unstructured field environments. Key responsibilities include customer-facing technical support, developing training materials and technical documentation, conducting pre-deployment site surveys, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues in real-time. You'll work cross-functionally with Imaging Operations Leads, other Technical Operations Engineers, and engineering teams to address customer training needs, product deployment planning, and drive product refinement recommendations.
Additional duties include managing operational and logistical plans for deployments, ensuring high availability and performance of imaging systems, pre-configuring systems for seamless infrastructure integration, and communicating field issue status to internal and customer teams. You'll also author training documentation for end users and internal program usage, and configure/troubleshoot networking environments including firewalls, routers, switches, access points, and cloud-based systems.
Required qualifications include 5+ years of hands-on problem-solving experience at the interface of hardware, software, and networking in unstructured environments. You must have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, command-line Linux troubleshooting experience, and the ability to translate technical concepts into operational requirements. Project management and product deployment experience is essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to travel extensively is required.
