Anduril Industries is seeking a Technical Operations Engineer to join the Mission Operations team, supporting the deployment and integration of advanced imaging systems for defense applications. This role bridges engineering and field operations, requiring deep technical expertise combined with customer-facing communication skills.
You will serve as a subject matter expert on Anduril's imaging product families, working directly with military customers (Department of Defense) to ensure successful system deployment and operational integration. Your responsibilities span the full lifecycle: pre-deployment site surveys, hardware setup, software configuration, comprehensive troubleshooting, and technical documentation authoring.
Key responsibilities include:
- Direct customer engagement to develop and deploy integrated hardware-software products
- Complex troubleshooting across hardware, software, and networking in unstructured field environments
- Creation of training manuals, technical documentation, and operational procedures
- End-to-end system support including pre-configuration and seamless infrastructure integration
- Cross-functional coordination with imaging operations leads, other technical engineers, and product engineering teams
- Real-time issue resolution with analytical problem-solving and hands-on technical skills
- Networking configuration and troubleshooting (firewalls, routers, switches, cloud environments)
- Operational and logistical planning for deployment events
Required qualifications include 3+ years of hands-on problem-solving at the intersection of hardware, software, and networking; strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting aptitude; Linux command-line proficiency; ability to translate technical concepts into operational requirements; project management and product deployment experience; and excellent communication skills. The role requires extensive travel (75%+) to remote regions worldwide for deployments lasting up to two months.
