Wander is revolutionizing the short-term rental industry with smart homes and an intuitive booking platform. The company is backed by top-tier investors and led by experienced startup veterans, operating as a remote-first team with a passion for travel and technology.
As Technical Onboarding Project Manager, you own the end-to-end onboarding pipeline for every new WanderOS account from contract signature to first booking. You serve as the air traffic controller, managing timelines, owners, blockers, escalations, and the customer experience throughout the process. You identify and unblock issues before they cascade—whether that's a stuck build, a PMS integration failure, or an overloaded Site Builder.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own the onboarding pipeline as the single source of truth, tracking account stage, site stage, blockers, and go-live dates
- Drive every new account from closed-won to live pre-booking in 14 days or less
- Triage blockers daily (PMS integration issues, missing assets, unresponsive partners, product gaps) and route to the right owner
- Assign builds to Site Builders based on capacity, skill, and customer context, ensuring they have complete context from Sales
- Run weekly cadences with Site Builders, CSMs, and Sales; publish status, flag risk, and hold the line on dates
- Own customer-facing communication during the build window with warm welcomes, status updates, and quick revision turnarounds
- Identify patterns and escalate systemic blockers to Engineering and Ops for process, automation, or product fixes
- Partner with Engineering and Ops to automate the workflow, treating manual coordination as a temporary state
You are a relentless operator who makes lists and works them without letting things slip. You stay calm under pressure, communicate with clarity and warmth, and thrive in fast-moving, cross-functional environments. You have strong project management fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to unblock teams and customers.
