Apptronik is a human-centered robotics company developing AI-powered humanoid robots (Apollo) to support humanity across manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and beyond. This senior-level hybrid role leads supply chain and inventory operations for the company's testing and development department.
The position is split 50/50 between strategic procurement and advanced inventory management. You will own end-to-end purchasing of VR hardware, manipulation equipment, and environmental systems; identify and vet global suppliers; negotiate pricing and delivery schedules; and partner with Engineering to analyze complex Bills of Materials and forecast needs to prevent bottlenecks. You'll proactively identify supply chain vulnerabilities, develop alternative sourcing strategies, manage departmental spending, and provide financial reports to leadership.
On the inventory side, you'll design and maintain physical lab infrastructure and digital tracking systems for mission-critical assets; serve as power-user for ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP); manage high-level RMA processes for expensive failures; develop Standard Operating Procedures for receiving, inspecting, and distributing hardware; and lead regular inventory audits with cycle-counting programs.
As a senior member, you'll design processes, select tools, and mentor junior-to-mid-level hires to scale operations with the company's technological ambitions. You'll need proven negotiation skills with international vendors, technical fluency to read drawings and understand hardware specs, advanced ERP/MRP proficiency, leadership experience designing workflows from scratch, and strong problem-solving abilities. A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field is required, along with 3+ years in technical procurement and inventory management, ideally in robotics, aerospace, or high-tech manufacturing. Experience in high-growth startups or R&D environments is highly preferred. Professional certifications (CPSM, CPIM) are a plus. The role requires ability to lift 25–45 pounds, read printed materials and screens, and move frequently through a lab/workshop environment.
