Signal 1 is a 30-person, well-funded healthtech startup building the AI Management System (AIMS)—a platform that helps health systems safely adopt and govern AI at scale. The company has strong product-market fit and is deployed across top-20 US health systems.
As Technical Deployment Manager, you will independently own the end-to-end implementation of AIMS at partner health systems, from initial scoping through go-live and steady-state handoff. This is an executive-facing delivery role where you'll run the project management backbone: coordinating status updates, preparing steering committee materials for C-suite audiences (CIO/CAIO/CMIO level), managing timelines and risk logs, and problem-solving through technical, organizational, and political barriers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning project plans, timelines, and RAID logs for assigned implementations
- Running regular status cadences with internal deployment teams and hospital stakeholders (IT, clinical informatics, compliance)
- Preparing and presenting to hospital executive sponsors with confidence and independence
- Provisioning data/system access and ensuring all parties understand deadlines and dependencies
- Designing workflows through workshops and configuring AIMS to reflect each client's unique processes
- Identifying risks early, evaluating root causes, and escalating only what genuinely needs escalation
- Convening and leading project meetings across technical and clinical audiences, building rapid rapport
- Capturing user pain points and workflow gaps during configuration and training, translating them into structured product feedback
- Designing and delivering training so client teams operate confidently post-go-live
- Driving adoption plans that move teams from legacy processes to AIMS-based workflows
- Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitoring and reporting project status to senior leadership at both Signal 1 and hospital partners
This role suits someone with proven project management discipline from enterprise technology implementation or formal PMO/transformation functions, ready to own external, executive-facing delivery independently from day one without needing senior oversight to run interference. You'll work closely with Signal 1's product, engineering, and Deployment/Partner Success teams, as well as technical, clinical, and project leaders at hospital partners.
Preferred location is Toronto for hybrid arrangement, but candidates elsewhere are considered.
