As a Customer Support Engineer, you will be the technical bridge between customers and HappyRobot's platform. You'll work directly with enterprise customers to triage issues, debug problems, and ensure they're maximizing value from the AI platform. This hybrid role blends technical support with customer engineering: you'll diagnose root causes, design and test solutions, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to strengthen the platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Triaging and resolving customer issues independently under tight deadlines
- Debugging problems across the full stack and identifying root causes quickly
- Designing and testing solutions in collaboration with engineering teams
- Applying prompt engineering skills to help customers fine-tune AI workers for accuracy, reliability, and speed in real-world logistics workflows
- Explaining technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Learning customer workflows rapidly and proposing tailored solutions
- Contributing to product improvements based on customer feedback

REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficiency in full-stack development: Python, React, TypeScript, Node.js
- Experience managing APIs and integrating third-party systems
- Exposure to infrastructure and cloud deployments
- Familiarity with LLM prompting and tuning of voices/transcribers; willingness to experiment and iterate
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with ability to identify root causes quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong ability to triage, prioritize, and resolve issues independently under tight deadlines
- Curiosity and adaptability; ability to learn customer workflows quickly
- Self-starter mindset with bias toward action
- Passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences
