Obsidian Security is a leading SaaS security platform protecting 200+ global enterprises including Fortune 1000 companies like Snowflake, T-Mobile, and Algolia. Founded in 2017 and backed by top-tier investors like Greylock, the company was built by security leaders from CrowdStrike, Okta, Cylance, and Carbon Black to close a critical gap in SaaS application security across Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and hundreds of other platforms. The Technical Account Manager (TAM) role is a hybrid position based in Sydney, requiring on-site presence 2-3 days per week. You will be the technical voice for customers, driving value delivery within the Obsidian platform while serving as a subject matter expert on SaaS security challenges and best practices. Key responsibilities include: delivering exceptional customer experience and technical support across simultaneous requests of varying complexity; owning complex technical scenarios and issues by coordinating with engineering, product, and sales teams; ensuring successful customer onboarding and platform adoption; driving improved customer understanding through documentation, in-product guides, and live/recorded training; identifying opportunities to enhance Obsidian's support capabilities through new processes and tools; and conducting Account Health checks and Quarterly Business Reviews. You will partner with customers in both technical and educational capacities throughout their lifecycle, serving as the voice of the customer back to product and engineering teams. The ideal candidate combines strong communication and technical skills, with experience in cybersecurity (especially cloud and SaaS security), SaaS application administration (Google Workspace, O365, Okta, Duo), API interactions, integrations, and web authentication methods (OAuth, SAML, tokens). Background in incident response, threat triage, log analysis, and Python proficiency are strong advantages. You must be driven, collaborative, and knowledgeable with a track record of building and managing strong customer relationships.
