Veeam Software, the Data and AI Trust Company, is seeking a Technical Account Manager based in the Rome or Milan region to lead professional services engagements. This hybrid role combines remote work with on-site customer visits.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, architecture, coordination, and management of professional services projects focused on data protection, availability solutions, and monitoring. Your expertise will span Data Management, Data Analytics, Business Continuity, Data Center, Cloud, Operating Systems, Networking, Storage, and Virtualization technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Architecting and managing availability solution projects
- Providing input on proposals and Statements of Work
- Supporting implementation and consulting services delivery
- Guiding project planning, schedules, communication, and resource allocation
- Assessing and designing solutions, troubleshooting post-installation issues
- Estimating implementation efforts and creating technical documentation
- Delivering on-site knowledge transfer and training
- Analyzing customer environments and optimizing Veeam configurations
- Facilitating communication between clients and Veeam support
- Identifying upsell opportunities within customer environments
- Contributing to process and documentation improvements
Required qualifications:
- VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE, or equivalent certification
- Prince 2, ITIL, PMP, or equivalent project management credential
- Bachelor's degree in technology (or equivalent experience)
- Hands-on experience with Veeam core products
- Proven consulting and project management background
- Deep expertise in virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Experience with enterprise storage systems (EMC, NetApp, IBM, Dell, etc.)
- Knowledge of networking protocols (Fibre Channel, Ethernet, Cloud)
- Hands-on experience with enterprise applications (Exchange, SQL, Oracle)
- Data Center and Business Continuity expertise
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
- Cloud technology knowledge
- Business proficiency in Italian and English
