Veeam Software is seeking a Technical Account Manager to lead the planning, architecture, coordination, and management of professional services engagements focused on data protection, resilience, and monitoring solutions. This role combines technical expertise with project management responsibility, serving as the primary technical liaison between Veeam and enterprise customers.
Key responsibilities include architecting availability and data protection solutions, managing implementation projects from proposal through delivery, and providing technical guidance on solution design and optimization. You will develop project plans, schedules, and communication strategies; assist with solution assessment and implementation effort estimation; deliver onsite knowledge transfer; and facilitate communication between clients and Veeam support teams.
Additional duties encompass creating technical documentation and white papers, analyzing installed environments to optimize Veeam configurations, identifying upsell opportunities, and supporting the sales process for professional services. You will work across multiple simultaneous projects and accounts, requiring strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in technology (or equivalent experience), hands-on expertise with Veeam core products, and proven consulting and project management experience. Industry certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE, PMP, Prince 2, or ITIL are expected. Deep technical knowledge is essential across virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), storage systems (EMC, NetApp, Nimble, etc.), enterprise applications (Exchange, SQL, Oracle), networking protocols, and cloud technologies. You must demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to understand customer needs and architect appropriate solutions, and a track record of successfully managing complex technical projects. Travel, including overnight stays, is required to meet customer and company objectives.
