Skydropx is innovating logistics across Latin America, and they're seeking a Tech Lead (.NET) to serve as the technical reference and architect for their engineering team. In this individual contributor leadership role, you will define technical direction, unblock complex problems, and bridge architecture strategy with daily execution. You won't manage people directly, but you will mentor engineers across levels, drive code and design reviews, and shape how the team adopts AI tools thoughtfully and rigorously. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and scale services and applications using .NET Framework 4.7+ and .NET Core 6+, prioritizing reliability, performance, security, and maintainability. - Participate in architectural decisions across teams and services, defining integration standards, API contracts, dependency management, and evolution strategies for existing systems. - Design and review microservices and distributed systems solutions, considering scalability, resilience, observability, and availability. - Author and review technical documentation, RFCs, and design proposals, communicating trade-offs and decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Resolve the team's most complex technical problems, including debugging distributed systems in production. - Lead code reviews and design reviews, promoting high standards of code quality, development best practices, and maintainable solutions. - Mentor engineers at various levels, helping them develop technical skills, overcome obstacles, and gain autonomy. - Partner with Product and Engineering Managers to translate business objectives into executable technical solutions, evaluating priorities, risks, and trade-offs. - Ensure quality and reliability standards in development, including testing, CI/CD, security, error handling, observability, and AI-assisted development practices. - Drive modernization of existing applications, identifying opportunities to improve architecture, reduce technical debt, and enable product growth. - Participate in design, implementation, and evolution of solutions using SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, IIS, Nginx/Kestrel, and containers. Requirements: - Experience with .NET Framework (4.7+) and .NET Core (6 or higher). - Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems. - Windows server configuration and optimization (IIS, CI/CD pipelines). - .NET Core application configuration and deployment on Linux (Nginx, Kestrel, containers). - Experience with relational databases (SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis). - RESTful APIs, versioning, and security (OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect). - Messaging systems: Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalents. - Observability knowledge: monitoring, centralized logging, and metrics (Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana). - Cloud computing experience with at least one of: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP. - CI/CD experience (Azure DevOps, Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions). - Advanced or fluent English and/or Spanish for communication with international partners. Desirable: - Advanced Portuguese. - Functional programming languages: Erlang, Elixir, or Rust. - Container knowledge (Docker) and orchestrators (Kubernetes). - Domain-Driven Design (DDD) experience. - Microsoft Azure or AWS certifications. - Event Sourcing and data streaming experience.
