ICEYE, a leader in space-based synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite technology and Earth observation intelligence, is seeking an exceptionally technical Team Manager to lead the Supply Chain organization's Mechanical Systems & Manufacturing Enablement category. This role reports to the Global Director of Supply Chain and is based in Espoo, Finland. You will build, lead, and mentor a team of 5+ category specialists responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and managing suppliers of mechanical hardware, precision machining, electromechanical release mechanisms, COTS components, production tooling, and consumables. The role operates at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing operations, and supplier technology, requiring deep expertise in build-to-print precision machining, GD&T interpretation, mechanism design, and the tooling ecosystem that enables both prototype and continuous production configurations. Key responsibilities include: **Leadership & Team Development:** Build and mentor a high-performing team of mechanical hardware and manufacturing-support specialists. Define team workflows, coach members in fabrication processes, tolerance/fit considerations, and manufacturability constraints. Foster a culture of technical rigor and proactive risk management. Develop hiring profiles and long-term talent strategies to scale the organization. **Embedded Technical Category Leadership:** Operate as a core member of engineering and production project teams from concept through qualification and series production. Interpret mechanical drawings, GD&T tolerances, material specifications, and BOM structures. Provide DFM/DFMA and supply feasibility input on mechanical designs. Identify long-lead items, critical single-source mechanisms, and production-tooling dependencies early. Maintain visibility into machining capabilities, surface treatments, mechanism qualification status, and tooling availability across the supplier base. **High-Velocity Sourcing & Procurement:** Lead sourcing for build-to-print CNC components, electromechanical release mechanisms, COTS mechanical hardware, and production consumables. Manage supplier relationships, negotiate capacity and tooling maintenance windows, and ensure reliable, qualified, cost-effective supply for both flight hardware and production-enabling assets. Run the team, review quotes and vendor selections, and keep ERP data, cost tracking, and build readiness accurate. **Supply Continuity & Risk Management:** Develop and maintain a regulated, international, defense-capable supplier base meeting security, export, and qualification requirements. Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality on schedules and risk mitigation. This role is ideal for someone with proven team leadership experience, deep mechanical engineering and manufacturing knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a regulated, technically demanding defense/aerospace environment. You will build credibility with mechanical engineers, manufacturing teams, quality partners, and suppliers while scaling supply chain foundations to support ICEYE's transition from prototype to continuous production.
