The company uses artificial intelligence paired with optical sensors to help feed mills, grain handling facilities, and protein producers optimize operations, reduce costs, and improve decision-making. BinSentry currently monitors over 60,000 bins in real time across North America.
The Team Lead, Electronics Technicians role is a hands-on management position overseeing a team of electronics technicians responsible for analyzing device failures and improving system quality. This is a hybrid technical and leadership role where you'll manage day-to-day team activities, set priorities, and ensure performance quotas are met while also getting involved in technical troubleshooting and analysis work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Direct team activities and set work priorities
- Manage department budgets and procure tools, equipment, and resources
- Oversee team performance against weekly analysis quotas
- Interview and onboard new team members
- Conduct performance reviews and support career development
- Manage staffing and vacation scheduling
- Track parts and inventory in the Odoo system
- Participate in hands-on device analysis and troubleshooting
You'll need 5-8 years of experience in electronics diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing, plus proven team leadership and mentoring experience. Technical skills required include proficiency with oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers, ability to interpret schematics, troubleshooting of analog and digital circuits, familiarity with circuit board manufacturing and assembly, and comfort with command-line tools. An Electronics Technologist Diploma or Electronics Engineering Degree is required.
