Salary: USD 120,000 - 180,000 / annual

The Talent, Strategic Projects Associate role sits within Decagon's Executive Talent & Strategic Projects function, which shapes org design, defines success metrics, and builds the company's leadership team. This is a zero-to-one builder role focused on solving recruiting's biggest, most ambiguous problems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working directly with teammates to understand workflows, uncover friction points, and prioritize problems worth solving
- Building AI tools, automations, and systems from scratch, testing early versions with the team and iterating based on feedback
- Owning ambiguous projects end-to-end: problem definition, stakeholder alignment, execution, and handoff
- Converting successful experiments into repeatable, documented programs with clear ownership
- Designing and leading team-wide enablement sessions to help teammates adopt new tools and workflows
- Researching companies and leadership teams, identifying executive talent, and producing actionable briefs

Requirements:
- 2–5 years of experience in executive search, recruiting operations, consulting, program management, or similar
- Demonstrated track record of building tools, systems, or programs from scratch and enabling others to use them successfully
- Experience translating loosely defined problems into practical solutions, from initial testing through rollout and handoff
- Hands-on curiosity about AI with a habit of experimenting with it to solve real problems
- Strong research, writing, and organizational skills with dependable follow-through
- Comfort with ambiguity, openness to feedback, and desire to take on increasing ownership
