Allium is building the canonical data layer for onchain finance, ingesting and standardizing data across 140+ blockchains and 30+ petabytes of history. The company serves finance teams, engineers, product teams, and AI agents with institutional-grade blockchain data infrastructure.
As a Support Engineer, you will troubleshoot and resolve complex customer issues involving SQL queries, data pipelines, API integrations, and Allium's data delivery mechanisms. You'll map customer problems to solutions within Allium's product—whether that's a table in the dataset, an alternative delivery mechanism, or a configuration adjustment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing issues across petabyte-scale data infrastructure spanning multiple cloud providers (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks) and regions
- Tracing customer data discrepancies back to raw on-chain sources and understanding why numbers differ between sources
- Conducting data quality investigations, including verification checks and cross-source reconciliation
- Managing expectations with institutional customers (banks, asset managers, exchanges, foundations) and handling incident communication
- Learning how 100+ blockchains work under the hood (EVM, Solana, and others) to resolve tickets effectively
- Understanding enterprise data delivery mechanisms (warehouse-native shares, APIs, Kafka streams, push vs. pull)
You'll gain deep expertise in petabyte-scale data systems, blockchain mechanics, SQL debugging at scale, AI-native support workflows, and institutional customer management. The role offers a clear path to becoming an Allium Data Wizard—the company's senior technical track—as all Wizards start on the support frontlines to stay close to customer use cases and data problems.
