Mytos is an automated cell manufacturing company developing fully-automated manufacturing sites powered by custom robotics to scale regenerative medicine treatments to millions of patients globally. The company has raised $35M, is backed by Y Combinator, and has announced partnerships across multiple therapeutic areas including Parkinson's, hearing loss, and bone repair. Within 12 months, neurons grown on Mytos machines will enter Parkinson's patient trials.
As Supply Chain Manager, you will own the end-to-end supply chain for both electromechanical automation systems with custom robotics and sterile fluidic plastic consumables manufactured to GMP standards. This is a foundational, hands-on role reporting to the Hardware Lead and working closely with manufacturing, biology, engineering, operations, quality, and finance teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own purchasing, invoicing, and inventory management from requisition and PO through goods-in and invoice resolution
- Drive cost reduction through sourcing, negotiation, competitive tendering, and make-vs-buy analysis
- Qualify alternative suppliers and eliminate single-source risk on critical components
- Manage consumables supply chain and contract manufacturer relationships through GMP validation into scaled production, including COCs, NCs, and change notifications
- Build and optimize ERP/MRP systems and establish demand planning processes
- Conduct supply and demand reviews with manufacturing, internal teams, finance, and sales
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and contract terms protecting cash flow and IP
- Develop clear decision documents and secure buy-in from finance and leadership on major purchases
The role requires hands-on involvement on the manufacturing floor as well as at the negotiating table. You will be based at Mytos's office in the Imperial College Innovation hub in White City, London; remote-first working is not supported due to the hands-on nature of the role.
Requirements:
- 5 to 8+ years in procurement or supply chain, ideally in hardware, medtech, or another regulated manufacturing setting
- Proven track record of building or scaling a supply chain function
- Demonstrated cost-down programmes you have led and delivered
- Hands-on experience qualifying and auditing suppliers and setting up quality agreements
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Strong grasp of manufacturing economics: BOM cost, unit-cost modelling, and how sourcing choices affect COGS
- Experience with demand planning and inventory strategy across best and worst case scenarios
- Ability to influence decisions across manufacturing, finance, and R&D to control supply chain risks
- Self-starter comfortable both on the build floor and at the negotiating table
Nice to have:
- Startup experience
- GMP or regulated supply chain experience, including COCs, NCs, approved supplier lists, and change notifications
- Experience managing a contract manufacturer or in-house production
- Experience building a supplier risk framework and contingency plans for supply disruption
- Awareness of export controls and shipping hardware internationally
