Salary: USD 125,800 - 170,200 / annual

Aeva is building next-generation 4D LiDAR sensing and perception systems for autonomous vehicles using silicon photonics technology. The company's sensors measure instantaneous velocity per pixel with long-range performance at high resolution, free from traditional LiDAR and sunlight interference. As Supplier Quality Engineer, you will own supplier quality across the entire product lifecycle—from initial sourcing through development, tooling, industrialization, product launch, and ongoing business management. This is a hands-on role with significant autonomy and impact on manufacturing excellence. Key responsibilities include: - Collaborate with Product Development to establish control standards for mechanical, optical, and electronic components and assemblies - Develop robust control plans with manufacturing partners to ensure zero-defect quality - Implement APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) processes from design stage through PPAP submission and mass production ramp - Conduct supplier audits and site inspections to verify compliance with automotive quality management systems - Investigate supplier quality issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) - Establish inspection plans, design test methodologies, and qualify precision inspection tools and gauges - Lead improvement initiatives to optimize key process indicators - Evaluate and select suppliers based on commercial and technical capabilities You bring 5+ years of manufacturing or quality experience, with deep expertise in high-volume manufacturing processes and automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001). You are proficient in core IATF tools: APQP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, and PPAP. You have a track record of supplier development, process audits, and managing complex quality initiatives in fast-paced environments. Certifications in ISO 9001, IATF-16949, or VDA6.3 auditing are expected; Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is a plus. You are comfortable with domestic and international travel, proficient in Jira/Confluence, and possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
