Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Imaging team develops state-of-the-art imaging systems leveraging computer vision, perception, electro-optical, infrared, and sensor data to support warfighters and allies.
As Supplier Development Engineer, you will drive strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril Imaging's electronics across their product lifecycles. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure scalable, compliant, and cost-effective sourcing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage electrical BOMs, component risk assessments, and alternate component sourcing paths across product lines
- Identify and mitigate supply-chain lead-time and sourcing risks, especially for PCBA components
- Ensure scalability of electronics sourcing strategy as multiple product lines scale to full production
- Conduct supplier selection and manage/expand the approved supplier list
- Work closely with suppliers on technical inquiries, consulting with design engineering as needed
- Collaborate with quality team to ensure AS9100 compliance for production electronics builds
- Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure proper release and transmission of technical data packages within PLM and ERP systems
- Partner with Anduril HQ's PCBA commodity team to streamline procurement processes
Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field; 8+ years in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement/development, or electronics design; domain expertise in value/procurement engineering at component and product levels; ability to travel 10-25% for vendor visits; ability to obtain and maintain U.S. secret clearance.
Preferred: Master's degree; experience sourcing PCBs and subcomponents with PCBA fabrication/assembly knowledge; familiarity with IPC and J-STD quality standards; experience in high-tech rapid low-rate production environments; startup experience.
