Divergent 3D is seeking a Supervisor for Metrology & Inspection to lead daily inspection and measurement operations across production and development environments. This is a hands-on leadership role critical to ensuring product quality, compliance, and data integrity in a fast-paced aerospace and automotive manufacturing setting. Key responsibilities include supervising a team of inspection and metrology technicians; managing CMM operations, portable arms, laser/structured-light scanning, and conventional inspection methods; and serving as the technical point of contact for measurement strategy and troubleshooting on the production floor. You will ensure CMM programs and inspection methods are executed repeatably and efficiently, partnering with engineering to improve cycle time and robustness. You will partner closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Production teams to resolve inspection issues, support root-cause corrective actions (RCCAs), and improve manufacturability. Responsibilities include driving adherence to quality systems and customer requirements (ISO, AS, drawing standards, control plans); reviewing inspection results and identifying trends; escalating quality risks; and supporting containment and corrective actions. You will coach and mentor technicians on GD&T interpretation, inspection techniques, reporting standards, and best practices, while ensuring accurate documentation of inspection activities, nonconformances, and measurement records. Additional duties include supporting deployment of new metrology technologies, automation efforts, and fixturing solutions; promoting a culture of quality ownership, continuous improvement, and safety; and maintaining an organized inspection environment aligned with 5S and lean manufacturing principles. Required qualifications: 3+ years hands-on experience with inspection, metrology, and quality in aerospace/automotive manufacturing; 2+ years in a people leadership or supervisory role with direct coaching and performance management responsibility; strong working knowledge of metrology programming (PC-DMIS, Calypso, Zeiss Inspect, Verisurf, or equivalent); proficiency in GD&T and complex engineering drawing interpretation; experience with CMMs, portable arms, laser/structured-light scanners, and conventional precision instruments; strong troubleshooting skills; comfort working on the production floor; excellent communication and collaboration abilities; experience with regulated quality systems; and ability to manage changing priorities. US export control access required.
