Veho is building modern, end-to-end logistics infrastructure for ecommerce. The company powers seamless shopping, shipping, and returns for brands like HelloFresh, Zara, Macy's, and Sephora through vertically integrated supply chain operations and next-generation technology.
As a Ground Operations Supervisor, you will lead a hands-on warehouse team, managing day-to-day operations and developing warehouse associates and leads. You will be responsible for coaching team members on essential warehouse skills, setting standards for operational excellence, and ensuring their success through values-based leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading in a fast-paced environment requiring quick thinking and physical agility
- Planning and prioritizing team and business initiatives, navigating technology platforms to manage operational and logistical challenges
- Developing a consistent approach to team development with milestones for continuous improvement
- Assessing operational needs swiftly and working cross-functionally to orchestrate seamless operations while prioritizing safety
- Adapting to an ever-changing environment to ensure on-time delivery and exceed expectations of customers, clients, drivers, and employees
- Scheduling shifts that align with business needs based on operational hours and projected volume
- Coaching, training, and developing team members with proven values-based leadership to achieve key KPIs and metrics
- Partnering cross-functionally to ensure successful operations
- Managing accuracy of reports, scheduling, cross-functional communication, and ensuring sort and launch packages are processed efficiently while adhering to safety standards
The anticipated schedule is Thursday through Sunday, 6am–6pm, though warehouse operating hours vary based on operational needs. Warehouses typically operate first, second, and third shifts, and schedules are subject to change. Warehouse leadership is expected to be onsite during scheduled shifts, with occasional off-site work at manager discretion.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of previous management experience in logistics, operations, or a related field (preferred)
- Proficient in technology platforms and tools relevant to logistics operations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to team members and driver partners
- Willingness to complete a comprehensive background check
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends, as required by operational needs
- Physical ability to work in a warehouse environment: standing for the duration of the shift, moving boxes up and down with frequent bending, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds regularly, working in hot or cold temperatures, and working in environments with loud noise and fumes
- Minimal travel required
