Revolut is seeking a Subject Matter Expert for its Core Payments department to support global payment operations. The Core Payments team builds products enabling customers to make and receive external payments reliably and quickly across multiple corridors (SWIFT & cross-border, UK & Europe, US & APAC).
In this role, you will serve as a trusted expert on complex payment investigations and operational excellence. You'll assist internal teams (Support, Product, Risk) with intricate payment inquiries, investigate and resolve payment issues affecting customers and reconciliation breaks, and communicate with banking partners via SWIFT, email, and banking portals to resolve payment errors promptly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling complex payment investigations across SWIFT, SEPA, ACH, and Faster Payments corridors
- Identifying and managing payment processing issues, incidents, and risks
- Supervising operating procedures to ensure compliance with external and internal requirements
- Collaborating with product teams to enhance integrations and processes
- Training new hires and developing learning materials
- Providing expert guidance to support and operations teams
You'll need solid experience in payments operations within a financial services environment, with hands-on experience conducting bank-to-bank investigations. A general understanding of SWIFT, SEPA, ACH, and Faster Payment processing is essential. You should be comfortable organizing work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, explaining complex issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, and working collaboratively across teams. A bachelor's or master's degree is required. SQL and familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Slack are nice-to-haves.
