Salary: USD 130,000 - 180,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology, AI, autonomy, and computer vision. The Subcontract Manager will drive major subcontractor developments for Anduril's current and future programs by collaborating with engineering, quality, manufacturing, legal, and suppliers. This role requires navigating complex negotiations and proposals from RFP to contract signature and delivery, with deep understanding of supply chain and government acquisition practices, particularly FAR/DFARs compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own the full RFP process: proposal evaluation, negotiation, award, execution, administration, and closeout
- Work cross-functionally with program management, technical, legal, proposal, contract, and procurement teams to lead subcontracts end-to-end
- Drive Statement of Work (SOW) generation and manage SOW content and Subcontract Data Requirements Lists (SDRLs) for consistency with negotiated technical scope
- Monitor subcontractor performance, perform product acceptance, support source selection, and review deliverables
- Lead subcontract proposal and award processes; review proposals and negotiate price, terms, deliverables, and dates while generating required FAR/DFARs documentation
- Perform cost and schedule variance investigations
- Coordinate with contracts and PM teams during prime proposal efforts on flowdowns and evaluation documentation
- Monitor and manage key subcontractor processes
- Identify proposed changes in subcontract technical scope
- Lead, streamline, and grow Anduril's subcontracting process
- Ensure subcontract compliance with government requirements
This role offers high visibility, ownership of critical projects, and influence on the Procurement team's trajectory. You will work across every division at Anduril and all underlying business lines, gaining exposure to all aspects of Anduril's offerings.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in law, accounting/finance, business, supply chain management, or related compliance field
- 5+ years of experience managing high-complexity, full-life cycle subcontracts on multi-discipline programs
- Strong understanding of FAR/DFAR, CAS, and ITAR compliance
- Experience evaluating subcontractor performance and deliverables
- Ability to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA if not already local; must be onsite
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS (Top Secret) clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong understanding of government contracts and cost accounting standards
- Self-starter with bias toward action and problem solving
- Experience developing high-tech products in high-mix/complexity, low-volume environments
- Exposure working in fast-paced, startup environments
- Active U.S. TS clearance
