Despegar, a leading travel platform in Latin America with over 25 years of experience, is seeking a Strategy & Planning Specialist to join their team in Bogotá. This role sits at the intersection of data analysis, product strategy, and commercial optimization.
You will be responsible for analyzing sales performance, pricing dynamics, profitability metrics, and product behavior across the platform. Key responsibilities include:
• Conducting deep-dive analysis of sales, pricing, rentability, and product behavior
• Developing performance reports and financial projections
• Generating strategic recommendations grounded in data insights
• Optimizing the product portfolio to drive commercial impact
• Identifying market opportunities and industry trends through competitive benchmarking
• Collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams to implement commercial and product improvements
• Contributing to digital transformation initiatives and analytics tool enhancements

REQUIREMENTS:
• Academic background: Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial analysis, product development, or business intelligence
• Prior experience in retail, e-commerce, banking, or strategic consulting preferred
• Strong knowledge of commercial and product KPIs
• Proficiency with databases and data visualization tools (advanced Excel required; SQL desirable)
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with precision in data handling and presentation
• Ability to transform data into strategic storytelling
