Ascendis Pharma, a global biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a Statistical Programmer to join its biometrics team at the Hellerup headquarters. The company develops innovative therapies using its TransCon® technology platform, with research facilities in Heidelberg and offices across Europe and the United States. You will play a key role in the development and evolution of progressive, metadata-driven SDTM programming to support clinical data analysis. Working within a team of 20 colleagues in a fast-paced environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to advance clinical trial programs in endocrinology and rare disease portfolios. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to planning, development, and continuous improvement of SDTM deliverables - Develop automated programming solutions and metadata-driven approaches to support clinical trials - Optimize metadata and their application - Review clinical trial data and specifications to ensure high-quality deliverables - Support metadata validation and quality control - Collaborate cross-functionally with international colleagues You will be detail-oriented, quality-focused, and committed to producing inspection-ready deliverables. The role requires effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ownership of tasks, and a can-do attitude. Travel is approximately 10 days per year. Requirements: - Master's or PhD in statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, life sciences, or related field - Minimum 5 years of SAS experience working on clinical trials in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industry - Experience with development and validation of SDTM datasets, including implementation of CDISC SDTM standards - Solid knowledge of regulatory submission requirements and standards - Interest in using AI as an integral part of all tasks - Detail-oriented, analytical, and team-oriented mindset - Ability to thrive in an informal, open environment where innovation and change are key
