Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume and registered users, is seeking a Strategy & Operations Lead to drive regional operations and strategic initiatives across Africa.
In this role, you will serve as the operational backbone for Binance's Africa expansion. You will establish project management cadence and accountability across country teams, embedding on the ground to support day-to-day operations and unblock critical issues. You'll lead cross-cutting initiatives spanning multiple markets—including regulatory engagement, banking channel development, and licensing—coordinating alignment across country, regional, and global teams to drive outcomes.
You will coordinate special projects and task forces assigned by Africa leadership, owning the full lifecycle from planning through delivery. You'll develop deep competitive intelligence on the Africa landscape (exchanges, fintechs, regulators, market structure) and translate that into actionable insights and recommendations for country and regional leadership. Working closely with Analytics, Finance, and Country teams, you'll define, track, and report on OKRs, surfacing risks and opportunities early with clear recommendations.
Relationship-building is core to the role: you'll partner with country GMs, global function leads, regulators, and external partners, representing the Africa team in cross-functional forums and maintaining trusted relationships across the ecosystem.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in startup operations, fintech, or financial institutions (crypto experience preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently, taking ambiguous problems and delivering structured outcomes without heavy supervision
- Track record of managing complex projects across multiple geographies and stakeholders
- Experience working with external partners and regulators (significant plus)
- Strong analytical skills—comfortable with data, OKRs, and translating numbers into narrative
- Excellent communication and influencing skills—able to engage country leaderships, global executives, and external counterparts with equal credibility
- Hands-on, execution-oriented, and biased toward action
