MISUMI Americas, a division of MISUMI Group, is a leading provider of standard, configurable, and custom manufacturing solutions. They seek a Strategic Program Manager to serve as a trusted advisor to world-leading enterprises and innovative startups, guiding them through all phases of product development and manufacturing—from New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Introduction (NPI) through production readiness and scaling. In this role, you will act as the primary customer advocate, building strong relationships and ensuring exceptional customer experience that drives long-term partnership and loyalty. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Quality, and Compliance teams to define scope, plan, and execute customer programs, ensuring products launch on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will serve as the main point of contact with customers, ensuring alignment, communication, and exceptional execution throughout the product lifecycle. Key responsibilities include: acting as the primary customer advocate and building solid relationships; collaborating with internal teams pre- and post-sale to ensure on-time project delivery while proactively managing risks and changes; applying technical expertise in engineering and manufacturing to identify risks early and develop mitigation plans; serving as a subject matter expert providing guidance to internal teams and customers; monitoring program milestones and performance, adjusting schedules and resources as needed; facilitating regular status meetings with customers and internal teams; identifying process improvement opportunities; and contributing to the Quality Management System. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field; 5+ years managing projects or programs in product engineering or manufacturing environments; hands-on experience with NPD, NPI, APQP, and production environments; experience across multiple manufacturing processes (CNC machining, 3D printing, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, die casting, assembly); customer-facing experience leading technical, operational, and consulting engagements; strong program management and time management skills with ability to prioritize, manage risks, and meet deadlines; excellent verbal and written communication skills with multicultural and multifunctional team experience; proactive mindset with strong business acumen and customer-focused mentality; demonstrated focus on process optimization, continuous improvement, and customer success; passion for learning and problem-solving; and proficiency with standard business tools and manufacturing software systems. Travel: 11-25% annually in the region and/or globally to visit customers and manufacturing facilities.
