Thndr is Egypt's leading digital retail investment platform and the country's first investment supermarket. Ranked the #1 fastest-growing company in Africa (2026 Statista/FT), Thndr is the #1 brokerage in Egypt with ~6M downloads and >$1B in customer assets. The company has been admitted as the first remote trading member of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, received in-principle approval from the Saudi Capital Market Authority, and is backed by prominent global and regional VC investors. You will build Thndr's Finance function from the ground up, supporting Egypt's Home for Deposits and the MENA region's Home for Active Trading. The role spans three core pillars: **FP&A:** Own and build the group business plan and strategic financial plan as the single source of truth for planning, board, and investor reporting. Establish and run the annual budget and quarterly reforecast cycle with business and functional leads. Produce monthly performance reporting with actuals vs. budget, variance analysis, and clear business drivers. Build visibility on unit economics (acquisition cost, revenue per funded account, contribution margin by product/market) and turn it into a framework the business runs on. Own cash, runway, and scenario forecasting, flagging inflection points early. **Strategic Finance:** Build financial cases behind pricing and revenue model decisions (commission structures, fee design, partnership economics). Model new product and market business cases, including financials for regulatory applications. Support corporate development through opportunity screening, valuation, structuring, and diligence. Run capital allocation analysis and support prioritization across the business. Identify cost optimization opportunities without slowing growth. **Investor Relations & Investment Banking:** Own investor reporting (monthly/quarterly updates, KPI packs, metrics) on reliable cadence. Own board reporting—board packs, supporting analysis, and numbers behind every discussion. Support fundraising end-to-end: model, data room, diligence responses, investor-facing materials. Be a point of contact for investor questions and ad-hoc requests. Maintain cap table and track shareholder obligations. Support origination of new investment products through structuring, financial modelling, underwriting analysis, and risk assessment. Build valuation and transaction models for prospective issuers. Support advisory mandates for startups, SMEs, and businesses preparing to access capital. Prepare investment memos, committee papers, and client-facing materials. Contribute to investment framework, governance, and risk limits as the function is stood up. You will report to the Group Head of Finance and Head of Investment Banking, working directly with founders, the board, and investors. Both functions are being built from scratch, and you'll be central to establishing them. **Requirements:** - 3–5 years in investment banking, analyst 3 through associate level (genuine deal environment experience is core) - Exceptional financial modelling skills - Command of valuation across methodologies with judgment on which applies - Strong three-statement fundamentals and ability to build fully linked operating models - Experience running or supporting live transactions end-to-end - Track record producing IC memos, pitch materials, investment memoranda, board packs, or equivalent to institutional standard - Strong educational and academic background; CFA a strong plus **Nice to have:** - Structuring or origination experience (real estate, private placements, debt, securitization, equity capital markets) - ECM or IPO execution experience, including regulatory documentation and prospectus work - Fintech, brokerage, or asset management experience - Egyptian or MENA capital markets experience - Regional exposure across GCC or wider MENA, or cross-border transactions - SME or startup advisory exposure - CFA charterholder or candidate
