Salary: EUR 46,000 - 50,000 / annual
Roadsurfer, Europe's largest campervan rental company, is seeking a Strategic Buyer for Automotive Spare Parts to join their Frankfurt office. This role combines procurement strategy, supplier management, and supply chain optimization for a fast-growing mobility platform.
You will develop and execute purchasing strategies for spare parts, technical components, and accessories across Roadsurfer's European vehicle fleet. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining strategic partnerships with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and aftermarket vendors; conducting supplier audits and performance reviews; and analyzing procurement markets to establish dual-sourcing strategies that minimize risk.
You will independently lead price, contract, and terms negotiations, conclude framework agreements and bonus models, and identify cost-optimization opportunities. You'll ensure reliable spare parts supply for the fleet while minimizing vehicle downtime, optimize inventory levels based on demand and consumption data in collaboration with Fleet Management and Operations teams, and manage material and supplier master data in ERP systems.
Additionally, you will drive digitalization of procurement processes, lead cross-functional purchasing projects, and report on key procurement KPIs.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must-have:
- Completed degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent qualification
- Multiple years of professional experience in strategic procurement within the automotive industry, ideally in automotive aftermarket
- Experience working with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and aftermarket vendors; proven track record in price and contract negotiations
- Strong knowledge of supplier and commodity group management
- Practical experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Odoo, or comparable)
- Fluent German and English; willingness to travel for supplier visits and audits
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in recreational vehicles, campers, caravanning, or leisure vehicles sector
- Knowledge of European workshop and spare parts markets
- Experience with BI tools and data-driven procurement decisions
- Passion for camping, travel, and outdoor lifestyle
