Truework, recently acquired by Checkr, provides employment, income, and asset verification services for mortgage loans, apartment rentals, background checks, and related use cases. The company is disrupting a $5B+ industry dominated by legacy incumbents with outdated processes. Within Checkr, Truework operates as an independent unit—a startup within a startup—allowing rapid iteration while leveraging core business strengths. As a Strategic Account Executive on the Truework team, you will scale impact across large national and regional lenders, with a primary focus on acquiring new clients for Truework Verification services. You will lead the charge in building and executing a repeatable playbook to drive new customers who grow with the company long-term. By deeply understanding customer challenges and goals, you will pair them with solutions that help them reach business objectives and innovate within their organizations. Key responsibilities include: **Sales Excellence:** Consistently achieve pipeline and revenue targets using modern sales techniques and processes. Cultivate awareness of the Truework vision through targeted campaigns for your territory, working with marketing and partner teams to scale coverage and build pipeline. Partner with internal teams to support accounts in pre-sales activities and deployment. Leverage analytics, case studies, past performance, and market intelligence to create territory plans and target account strategies. **Account Relationship Management:** Develop deep understanding of lenders' operations and identify use cases where verification services drive impact. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the product portfolio to communicate benefits of new features. Navigate buy team personas with intentional activities for executive bridging and champion building. **Industry & Customer Business Acumen:** Actively understand each customer's strategic growth plans, technology footprint, technology strategy, internal challenges, and competitive landscape. Review public information (executive appointments, earnings statements, press releases) to stay updated on industry trends. Identify and discover centers of value for lenders and conduct analysis to quantify ROI and impact of solutions. **Teamwork:** Represent market trends and client needs to executive and product teams. Demonstrate grit, constantly experiment, be willing to pivot, and show resiliency regardless of obstacles. **Requirements:** - 5+ years of full-cycle sales experience selling transformative technology solutions - Experience closing new business accounts and building pipeline using modern marketing tactics - Experience selling to EVPs, CXOs, and end-users (in the same sales cycle) in both individual and team sales environments - Ability to navigate large organizations' political landscape to maintain and expand relationships at all levels - General knowledge of common sales practices (MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, Challenger, Power Selling, or similar) - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify complex topics and present executive-level business cases - Ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment - Smart, self-motivated, organized, disciplined, inquisitive, detail-oriented, and process-oriented with an ownership mentality - Growth mindset with commitment to learning, growing, and actively seeking feedback - Team-first mentality; enjoy planning, adjusting, executing, winning, and celebrating as a team - A-player mindset with strong bias for action: raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, take ownership
