LAP Coffee is a specialty coffee startup on a mission to make high-quality coffee more affordable, digital, and convenient while bringing back the human touch. Operating across six German cities, the company is expanding rapidly and seeking an experienced Store Manager for its Frankfurt location.
In this role, you will own the day-to-day operations of a LAP Coffee store and lead a team of baristas toward ambitious growth targets. You will be responsible for team leadership and development, guiding baristas to achieve company goals while cultivating a cohesive team and identifying future General Manager talent. You will maintain operational excellence by monitoring key store metrics, planning shifts effectively, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
Your responsibilities include ensuring strict health and safety standards, accurately tracking daily KPIs and inventory, and implementing waste-reduction systems by monitoring and adjusting inventory levels in response to business fluctuations. You will collaborate with the Brand and Marketing teams to execute customer growth strategies, build relationships with neighborhood businesses and residents, and foster local brand loyalty. You will also master and apply product, service, and brand training playbooks to maintain consistency across the customer experience.
When needed, you will work behind the counter during rushes to support your team and drive strong sales. This is a high-ownership role with significant visibility and impact within an ambitious startup environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in hospitality or retail food & beverage, with a strong track record in team scaling, inventory, and supply chain management (coffee industry experience is a significant plus)
- Entrepreneurial, solution-focused mindset with adaptability to fast-paced startup environments
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills under pressure
- Proven ability to spot growth opportunities, test ideas, and execute within tight budgets
- Fluent in English and German
- Willingness to travel occasionally for new opportunities
