Salary: USD 180,000 - 210,000 / annual
Metropolis Technologies is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to lead the expansion of their computer vision platform across parking, retail, and hospitality. In this senior role within the Advanced Technologies team, you will own the full lifecycle of large cross-functional vision system projects spanning hardware, machine learning, platform, and product teams, as well as external partners.
Key responsibilities include scoping and delivering complex vision system initiatives that require navigation of technical ambiguity and strategic tradeoffs. You will drive alignment between internal teams and external partners to build, test, and deploy solutions at scale. You'll translate customer needs into executable project requirements and create strategic alignment between project deliverables and the Advanced Technologies roadmap. The role involves supporting troubleshooting of field-deployed systems, coordinating resources for investigation and post-mortems, and communicating effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
You will identify and remove bottlenecks to enable teams to work independently, proactively surface gaps, and mitigate risks. This is a leadership position that balances business and customer needs with technical constraints while empowering cross-functional teams.
Required qualifications include a BS or MS in an engineering discipline, 8+ years working directly with engineering teams, and 6+ years of technical program management experience. You must have experience leading cross-functional hardware and software programs, developing and deploying machine learning systems, and working with cloud software services. Strong knowledge of SDLC, professional software engineering practices, and tools like MS Project, Jira, and Confluence is essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical.
Preferred experience includes leading hardware development programs focused on cameras, sensors, or imaging systems, and working in innovative, high-growth environments. The role requires 4 days per week in-office to foster collaboration and innovation.
