Salary: USD 191,000 - 253,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to lead development programs for the Air Dominance and Strike Division. This division develops collaborative combat aircraft, missiles, and autonomous weapons systems powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system for military command and control.
In this role, you will partner with the Chief Engineer to own the development and deployment of Air Dominance & Strike technologies across the full contract lifecycle, from early R&D through contract capture and close. You will be directly responsible for all elements of cost and schedule to ensure successful program delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with Department of Defense customers, ensuring tight feedback loops for rapid iteration and solution fielding
- Autonomously executing on broad and ambiguous requirements from internal engineering teams, customers, and corporate partners while managing multiple programs simultaneously
- Monitoring and managing program progress across cost, schedule, and resource allocation, making strategic tradeoffs to deliver solutions on-time and on-budget
- Developing lightweight processes, tools, and metrics for program planning, scope management, risk management, and customer communication to enable rapid execution
- Serving as a high-ownership partner and advisor to engineering teams, understanding technical concepts, identifying system dependencies, interfaces, and technical risks
- Fostering a creative, high-performance culture within the team, assessing team capabilities, and identifying personnel development or recruitment opportunities
- Collaborating with finance and business development teams to develop pricing strategies for proposals
- Collaborating with senior management to develop and refine the strategic roadmap for Air Dominance & Strike R&D investments
Success in this position requires three key competencies: (1) a systems and engineering mindset to understand technical concepts and assess architectural decisions; (2) execution focus with attention to detail and ownership of outcomes; and (3) collaborative partnership skills for managing customer relationships and shaping program futures with government stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (technical background preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing the development of complex technical systems throughout the product lifecycle
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-million-dollar projects and driving on-time, on-budget completion
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with ability to move between tactical and high-level perspectives
- Experience coordinating multiple internal and external teams within complex engineering or technology-focused organizations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences
