Relativity Space is building the Terran R rocket to deliver payloads to orbit and advance space exploration. The Reliability team ensures quality is embedded throughout design and production, working across design, manufacturing, test, and launch functions. As Staff Supplier Industrialization Engineer, you will serve as the technical authority for rocket parts and assemblies, resolving manufacturing and quality issues to protect production schedules. You'll lead new product introduction by selecting manufacturing methods, identifying suppliers, and developing scalable processes that balance speed with reliability. Key responsibilities include conducting design-for-manufacturing (DFM) reviews and applying APQP principles from early development stages. You'll manage supplier sourcing and evaluations, issue corrective actions, and ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and NASA quality standards. You'll create specifications to communicate quality and manufacturing requirements across the supply base, analyze defect data, and lead root cause investigations using 8D, PPAP, and FAIR methodologies to improve supplier performance. This is a high-impact role where you'll shape the quality systems and processes that scale with the Terran R program. You'll work directly with hardware teams, understand constraints, and proactively influence decisions during a critical transition from development into production and scaled operations. Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, or related STEM field; 10+ years in supplier quality or supplier development engineering with hands-on experience in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing. You should have deep expertise in APQP, PPAP, FAIR, 8D problem solving, and supplier management in regulated environments.
