ICEYE is a space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) company delivering synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite technology to governments and allied nations. As a Staff Structural Analysis Engineer in the Space Systems department, you will lead structural analysis and engineering efforts to ensure ICEYE's satellites meet demanding aerospace requirements for structural integrity, reliability, and manufacturability. You will report to the Mechanical Engineer and play a critical role in enabling mission success from launch through on-orbit operations. Your responsibilities will include: - Defining structural requirements from mission and launcher constraints down to system and subsystem levels - Leading and contributing to trade studies, design reviews, and verification and qualification documentation - Ensuring smooth and timely product delivery from concept through qualification - Driving continuous improvement of structural design and analysis methods - Collaborating with hardware engineering, assembly/integration/test (AIT), and quality teams to ensure compliance with launch and in-orbit environments - Working with system and subsystem engineers to define requirements for new products - Supporting integration, validation, and issue resolution across internal and external teams This is a permanent, on-site/hybrid role subject to applicable security screening. REQUIREMENTS: Must Have: - Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field - Experience leading and managing structural analysis - Experience designing satellite structures, subsystems, or complex electromechanical systems - Deep understanding of mechanical stress, vibration, and thermal effects on space structures - Strong expertise in finite element analysis, including structural dynamics and failure analysis - Experience with mechanical, hybrid, and bonded joints for load-carrying composite structures - Familiarity with aerospace standards such as ECSS, NASA, or MIL - Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with systems, electrical, and manufacturing teams Nice to Have: - Experience with PLM or PDM systems for configuration control - Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, integration, and testing - Experience with launch vehicle or spacecraft environments
