Airbnb's Cloud Infrastructure team is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and operation of foundational cloud platforms that power all services across the company. You will work on critical infrastructure components including developer APIs and CLIs, Kubernetes orchestration, autoscaling and capacity management tools, and cloud infrastructure automation. In this role, you will innovate on cutting-edge cloud-native infrastructure using public cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure), deliver secure and highly available frameworks that simplify infrastructure complexity, and optimize existing systems for performance and operational efficiency. Airbnb is a member of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) end user community and works closely with the open source community (Kubernetes, Istio) and peer companies to tackle cloud-native engineering challenges at scale. You will have the opportunity to make an impact on the industry and open source communities. The role is remote-eligible for US-based candidates living in approved states: Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington. The position may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites as agreed with your manager.
