Salary: USD 209,000 - 253,000 / annual
Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company building energy-efficient cloud platforms to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. The company owns and operates the full stack from electrons to tokens, solving the power bottleneck in AI compute through an energy-first approach.
As a Staff Software Engineer on the CAPE (Cloud Infrastructure) team, you will architect, design, and develop cloud infrastructure management systems and platforms that directly support Crusoe Cloud's 10X growth trajectory. This is a hands-on role with significant technical leadership responsibility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Architect and implement physical infrastructure management software systems, availability platforms, and frameworks for end-to-end customer workflows
- Champion reliability, scalability, and security across all systems and platforms
- Design high-performing, highly available cloud architectures optimized for performance and cost-effectiveness
- Develop workflows that drive operational efficiency and key business metrics
- Build and maintain deployment, configuration management, and operations tooling and automation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth platform integration and adoption
- Mentor fellow engineers and contribute to team growth alongside engineering managers
You will work on critical infrastructure that directly impacts business revenue and customer success, with a focus on streamlining planning, monitoring, deployment, and operations at scale.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience
- 10+ years building and operating distributed systems at scale
- Proven experience building reliable, scalable, efficient, and secure cloud platforms and running them in production
- Fluency in one or more of: Go, Rust, Java, or C++
- Collaborative, platform-first mindset when working with development and operations teams
- Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and ability to implement secure configurations
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex infrastructure challenges
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
