The Solutions Engineering team partners with clients to maximize their adoption of Airwallex products and drive growth. As a Staff Solutions Engineer in APAC, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer lifecycle, from pre-sales through implementation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with account executives to design solutions addressing critical business challenges during pre-sales, solution design, and implementation
- Developing proof-of-concept applications on Airwallex, delivering technical demonstrations, and helping clients visualize success
- Identifying and troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring integrations follow best practices for optimal developer experience
- Providing strategic insights to product teams on reducing time-to-go-live and removing friction points
- Owning deliverables across the end-to-end project delivery lifecycle and ensuring alignment with project plans
- Partnering with engineers, product managers, sales teams, and C-level executives to deliver world-class customer experiences
You will be the single technical point of contact for valued customers, influencing revenue growth across the product portfolio and collaborating across sales, strategy, product, and engineering teams.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with strong academic achievements
- 5+ years in a customer-facing engineering role (solutions consultant, solutions architect, sales engineer, IT consultant, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving mindset and comfort working with customers, partners, and engineering teams
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language (PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.)
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs into web applications
Preferred:
- Knowledge of payments domain or financial services
- Prior experience integrating with major accounting platforms (Xero, NetSuite, Oracle Fusion Cloud, QuickBooks)

- Ability to work independently and develop solutions under ambiguous circumstances
- Strategic and creative thinking with proactive problem identification
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to juggle competing priorities
