Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud, a platform enabling organizations in agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing to harness IoT data for actionable insights. The company helps improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability across industries representing over 40% of global GDP.
You will join the Product Operations team supporting the Platform group—specifically the Billing, Org & Auth, and Security product teams. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role focused on driving ARR through data-driven decision-making and building internal tools that accelerate enterprise-ready product delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying enterprise-readiness gaps that limit new business, expansion, and retention, and shaping prioritization to measurably move ARR
- Partnering with Billing, Org & Auth, and Security teams to define priorities, remove blockers, and track progress on customer and Sales commitments
- Building and shipping internal data and AI products that help Product and Engineering teams understand platform usage, customer friction, and high-impact opportunities
- Analyzing large volumes of structured and unstructured data (product telemetry, support tickets, customer conversations, feature requests, surveys, product metadata) to identify patterns difficult to spot manually
- Converting one-time analyses into reliable, repeatable tools and workflows with clear data definitions, quality checks, documentation, and feedback loops
- Translating complex findings into clear, decision-ready recommendations for R&D leadership while preserving evidence and methodology
- Quantifying revenue impact of platform investments and reporting on it so every roadmap bet has a defensible ARR case before and after launch
- Owning projects end-to-end: scoping problems, identifying and connecting data, building first versions, launching, measuring adoption and business impact, and iterating
- Using AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully, checking outputs, debugging failures, and applying sound judgment
- Championing and embedding Samsara's cultural principles as the company scales
This role does not require a technical background but demands comfort using modern AI and development tools to move beyond prototypes—working with data, writing and debugging code with AI assistance, validating results, deploying useful tools, and improving them until users trust and rely on them.
**Requirements:**
- 8+ years of professional experience in product operations, data/product analytics, business operations, consulting, technical product management, or similar roles solving ambiguous problems with data and technology
- Demonstrated record of building and shipping something useful for real users (internal tool, application, dashboard, automation, data product, or repeatable analytical workflow)
- Track record of connecting work to revenue or equivalent business result (ARR, retention, expansion, cost) and ability to show how your decisions caused it
- Experience structuring and analyzing messy or large datasets, validating results, and explaining what analyses do and do not prove
- Strong product and customer judgment; starting with user problems and business outcomes, not technology
- Clear written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical or analytical work to non-technical partners and executives without losing important details
- High ownership, curiosity, and attention to detail; comfort learning quickly, asking sharp questions, forming points of view, and iterating through ambiguity
**Ideal candidate also has:**
- Experience in B2B technology companies or working closely with Product and Engineering teams
- Experience in Product Operations functions: defining and tracking product roadmaps and feature requests, bringing customer voice to product conversations
- Familiarity with enterprise platform domains such as billing/monetization, identity/access/org management, or security/compliance, and what enterprise buyers require
